'To do or not to do' is the eternal question.................and when it gives such immense pleasure plus the thrill, so the scale tilts a bit! Doesn’t it? Well welcome to the world of GUILTY PLEASURES.
For my convenience I abbreviate it to Gp yes with a capital G because its the guilt that makes it special !
Be it the urge to buy the awesome shoes you saw the other night at the market, or the craving to eat the biggest piece of the calorie laden chocolate truffle lying in the fridge........the pleasures are so inviting !!!!!!!!!!!!! But when the shoes cost you almost half your allowance or the cake destroys the diet you have been following -these become guilty pleasures!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But still will it stop us from indulging in them ! NO is the answer to many ............and YES to only those who are not shoe freaks or lost their sweet tooth early on..............probably I was trying to lure you with the wrong indulgence.
So what are your guilty pleasures
Chocolates – Those dark aphrodisiac food, that is said to be so calorie rich but Oh so YUMMY, so Romantic !
OR is it Shopping – Every thing from shoes to hats to eyeware to clothes catches your attention and whether you need them or not you end up buying them!
OR watching those old mushy, cheesy old Hindi Movies is your secret key to Gp – For the world you are the ardent Hollywood fan but on those romantic nights you love to watch those classics and cry !
Online games- Do you spend hours in front of the computer trying to beat the score of some Japanese player sitting thousands of miles away! OR
Ice cream – Indulging in the creamy cold sweetness be it in summer or better still in winters .
ORJunk food – Are you the health freak who loves to munch on French fries when no ones around!
IS ITMake up – Love buying it love applying it even when it is strictly not needed!
OR IS ITBags – You dn’t have enough luggage for your bags!
IS IT THECheese – The hundreds of flavours available whose prices reach thousands but what can you say they are delicious !
OR Beer – The old brewed beer that makes holes in your pocket but you love it and for once you even hate to share !
THECupcakes- Loads of frosting and it is one big FAVORITE Gp
ORCookies – The Gp probably even the kids sport!
IS IT THECartoons – Many big boys and big girls still love those princess stories and they cry when the line “they lived happily ever after” appears at the end are you one of them?
OR THE Crude comedies : Oh we all watch them and we all love them at somepoint in life!OR IS IT THE The kinky stuff- *******CENSORED********
What ever it may be we all have one or the other guilty pleasure. We hide them sometimes because they don’t go with what people perceive us to be; say if a bully loves watching Disney would it go with his image of course not, it will just destroy it. He can’t afford to love mushy stuff in public, he is supposed to be a wrestling fan by default ! But sometimes they themselves are a status q; say shopping, a topic girls love to brag about ![Disclaimer- all my followers will be placed in the exception case(hint hint.....follow follow)]
